Parts of the JournalBetter Application
1. Menu Bar
JournalBetter has the following menus:
2. Stream View
Stream View is the main working window.
Insert new content using Ctrl + Enter.
3. Category View
Category View lists your tags.
Clicking on any of the tags in this window will bring up all of the lines tagged with that tag.
The Category View works the same way as the Stream View and every other window in JournalBetter. All the functions such as Enter, Ctrl + Enter, drag and drop, and edit are all available.
4. TimeLine View
TimeLine View is the most comprehensive view of the database.
Your data always exists in the database, unless you purposefully delete it .
Open TimeLine View by using one of the following:
Hot key (Ctrl + T, L)
Menu (File > View > View TimeLine), or
Category View window (to the right of the Stream View), click TimeLine View link.
5. Tags
Tags are listed in the Category View pane.
They are created the same way any content in JournalBetter.
Tags are a way to group thoughts into "categories." More information can be found in the Tagging FAQ.
6. Status Bar
The status bar provides information to the user, such as the current selection, tags, etc.
